Beyond the BBQ: Summer’s Call to Review, Renew, and Reach Out
The summer months find us enjoying the sunshine, perfecting our grilling skills, and trying to stay cool during the dog days of summer. However, for us, the summer months are a time to stay in touch, allowing us to fill the pipeline for the rest of the year. I encourage you all to do the same with your prospecting and client reviews.
Client reviews are a great way, and I would even say they are required not only to review your clients’ current policies but also to review any perils left unattended. Have you discussed your clients’ Disaster Recovery Plan with them? I’m not referring to making sure the batteries are charged for the flashlights and they have water bottles in the basement, but more to what the plan is if they become sick, if they die too soon, or if life happens.
You are your client’s risk advisor. They cannot make an educated decision if you don’t educate them. Disability Insurance is a significant consideration, especially for business owners who opt out of workers’ compensation coverage. What about life insurance? Keeping the family in their home during a time of crisis, rather than adding this worry to the long list of concerns.
I know it’s hard to juggle all the balls at once, but I would suggest filling your pipeline with quarterly insurance campaigns so you stay in touch, top of mind, not only with your existing clients but also with future clients (prospects) who need you and don’t know it yet.
Happy Summer and keep putting yourself out there!
