Today, many people believe that their children will provide them the care they’ll need. However, the emotional and financial burden this places on families is often excruciating, and it’s been known to cause rifts or unrepairable harm. Even though most people recognize the need to have a plan in place in the event they require long-term care, a significant portion never seeks out a way to accomplish those goals.
As agents, it’s up to us to broach what is sometimes a hard conversation. Without us, it might be far too late by the time that talk comes up organically.
