Summer Kick-off
Happy Summer! The official kick off to summer is June 21st. However, once we reach Memorial Day and the kids cut loose from school, it feels like summer. We witness vacation time being utilized, including agents alike taking their family on vacations, so sales typically experience a bit of a slump during the summer months. In the past, Produces XL would offer various recorded webinars, emails, and things alike to keep you informed as the summer lazily slipped away. If you missed any of these webinars or LTC Podcasts, the playlist is housed on our YouTube channel and under the Tools & Resources tab on our website.
From a sales perspective, Producers XL is experiencing an increase in ancillary business (dental, vision, hearing, cancer, heart, and stroke increasing). We believe the incline is due to the aging population and the need for these solutions to compliment Medicare and other health insurance plans. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention two new carriers: Vision Care Direct for Vision and Physician’s Mutual for Dental. Physician’s Mutual also has a Medicare Supplement plans in states approved (not Kansas). Be sure and reach out to Rick for product information and/or to get appointed.
My business travels have me being introduced to many of my peers from other distributions, so I’m enjoying getting to know them and their businesses. I think this is good for business, being exposed to other walks of life so that we can stay fresh and relevant to the industry in order serve our agents better.
I ask if there are ever any topics or conversations you would like to have with me, my phone is always on. I wish you a great summer, wear sunscreen, but don’t take too much time off, we’ll miss you too much!
