We Have Made It! Now is the time to start planning for 2025.
AEP 2024 has come and gone this year, well, at least for the most part. If you are a Medicare agent, you know the relief you feel knowing that December 7th has passed, and you can get back to some sort of normalcy and enjoy the holiday season. However, this is not the case, and we know that over the next few weeks, issues will pop up that we will need to fix. The OEP starts on January 1st.
Starting in the first quarter of 2025, we will be offering Medicare University both in-person and virtually. I can tell you that we will have classes in Kansas City, Oklahoma City, and, as always, Salina, Kansas. This will be an excellent opportunity for any agents who are interested in offering Medicare solutions or agents who desire to grow their Medicare business. For our veteran Medicare agents, I will be offering a more in-depth virtual class where we will take a deeper dive into Medicare. Please reach out to me if you are interested in any of these classes.
We get that OEP comes after a crazy busy AEP season. It’s more crucial than ever to try new ways to invest in client retention so you don’t lose the book of business you worked so hard to grow during this AEP. This is also a great time to sit down with your clients and ask them questions that you did not have time to ask during AEP. Cross-selling is a great way to earn more income and make sure you are providing your clients with the protection they need. If you would like to know more about cross-selling strategies, please let me know.
I hope that we see some positive, agent-friendly changes with CMS and the carriers in 2025. I have my fingers crossed that the carriers that chose not to pay commission will see their error and pay the agents for their hard work. Thank you again for all the hard work you did on this AEP and for making sure your clients were taken care of.
